A15.3 Planned Performance: Work Planning and Specification

Managing your employees means providing clear directions and expectations for them and also documenting their responsibilities and assignments. The Planned Performance: Work Planning and Specification form helps you and your supervisors accomplish both tasks. The form guides a supervisor through outlining the assignments and responsibilities for an employee. Once the supervisor and the employee have agreed to the recorded duties, the form becomes a permanent record of the assignments. Using this form helps ensure that everyone understands what is expected of an employee and it provides critical documentation if there are questions at a later date.

It is important that signed copies of the Planned Performance form are given to the employee and also placed in the employee's permanent file.
