A11.2 Water Supply and Demand Planning Chart
A11.2 presents your data projections in an easily-understood chart which will help you quickly identify trends and potential problems.
If the Green Line (Production) approaches or rises above the Red Line (Supply), then a source deficit condition exists or is eminent. The Difference between the Violet Line (Source Developed) and the Red Line (Supply) represents possibly cheap source that can be developed now and for the future, by simply modifying permissions, regulations, yield, and/or aquisition of other water rights, etc. To reach capacities in or above the Light Blue line region (Source Capacity), additional infrastructure (new sources) or pump capacity upgrades may be necessary. The Difference between the Dark Blue (Consumption) and Green Lines (Production) equals lost or unaccounted for water. If this is excessive, future capacity may be developed by reducing the width of this region. |
